Fly section, approximately 1/2 of the battle flag.

Size: 49" x 32" (incomplete)

St. Andrew's cross design; yellow border; six-pointed stars.

Confederate flag authority H. M. Madaus has identified the construction and design as being of the type that would have been carried by the 1st Florida Infantry at Shiloh. (The 1st. Florida Regiment was temporary at battalion strength at the time of the Shiloh battle). This flag is associated with Captain William G. Poole of the 1st Florida Infantry.
