Two-sided rectangular silk flag with metallic fringe.
Obverse bears an embroidered wreath with the unit's name, the date 1863 and the motto DIEU ET MON DROIT (God and My Right) on a white back-ground. Reverse bears the St. Andrew's cross.
Size: 32" X 44" Not captured.
Flag is associated with Captain Patrick Houstoun of that unit.

Stabilization, including:
Removal of previous polyvinyl alcohol treatment
Encapsulation of both sides in Stabiltex fabric for support
